We’re in the midst of a technological shift.
We expect our digital and physical worlds to align seamlessly, and we demand the same of the products and services we use too.
NEEEU is the handshake in the middle. We bring digital and physical realities together, along with a deep understanding of how upcoming technologies can be used to address people’s needs and desires.
OrBeat is an augmented reality sequencer that makes creating a musical piece fun and collaborative. It opens to everyone the possibility of becoming a musical composer: choose sounds between drums, lead and bass, place them in augmented space and listen back to your amazing compositions.
We were invited by hub.berlin to design a site specific art piece and we decided to create a spatial music experience. We have been experimenting with spatial sound for a long time and we have previously released an app, Aero One, that investigates AR and music. This time we also wanted to explore collaboration, as per usual we added a sprinkle of surprise and magic.
We always like to share our experiments with the larger public in a playful way, so that we can collectively reimagine the interactions between humans and emerging technologies, like AR. What is the future of collaborative music according to you?
Make sure you also check out Aero One on the AppStore, for more spatial sound fun!
